Mantra Meditation For Non-material Satisfaction and Enrichment
Overcoming Overconsumption And Thereby Fuel Shortages By Mantra Meditation
Science, in spite of all the developments, has failed to comprehend the reality of matter, reality of consciousness and the unity of the two. The East, where the knowledge of reality exists, has gone subservient to the west and the reality of nature or the secret of Karmic cycle has remained a paradox to humanity and science. Science has advanced based on the Knowledge of matter for the last one thousand years. End of it should be a transformation into the knowledge of the soul and Supreme Soul and its superiority and control over matter. In other words the knowledge or the wisdom of life, that existed before but was forgotten by humanity. Only the knowledge of interrelationship matter and soul and control of both by the Supreme Spirit is the answer to environmental and resource anomalies. Lacking spiritual understanding, people instinctively pursue material gratifications and possessions, thus fueling the overconsuming economy that overwhelms the world with shortages of all kinds, including gasoline one. In the glare of industrialization, we have lost all connection with the world of spirit. This is a sentiment recognised nearly a century ago by the Austrian poet, Rainer Maria Rilke: “The whole ‘spirit world’, death, all those things that are so closely akin to us, have by daily parrying been so crowded out by life that the senses with which we could have grasped them are atrophied. To say nothing of God.” Through the application of ancient sacred sounds, we are infused with energy that dissolves our difficulties and improves our lives. Over time our karma becomes exhausted, and we become spiritually free of any worldly bondage. Great spiritual teachers in the Vedic tradition therefore advise that we reconnect ourselves with God, the supreme person to be completely free from karma and get non-material satisfaction. This can be done through devotional spiritual practices. Mantra meditation is a radical re-envisioning of ourselves, our lives and our ability to create the future we desire. The principles of mantra meditation are based on a classical Eastern model of how the universe operates, and our place and purpose in it. The Vedas explain that powerful spiritual energies can be generated by yoga, meditation, and the chanting of mantras. In the present age, the chanting of mantras is particularly effective. When properly chanted, the combinations of sounds in mantras release their energies. Bible also proclaims, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The most powerful mantras, according to the Vedas, are those composed of names of God, such as the Hare Krishna mantra: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare / Hare Räma, Hare Räma, Räma Räma, Hare Hare. The Vedas teach that God’s name, being nondifferent from God Himself, is supremely potent. The chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra is especially effective when people chant it aloud together. If one chants the holy names of God like Hare Krishna mantra, he will realize that he is not this material body and does not belong to this material world. Thus sacred sound syllables can repair our estranged relationship with nature. This ancient practice can change the way we connect with our environment. Chanting The Holy Name Is The Ecology Of The Mind. The holy name is ever fresh, beautiful and joyful. Chanting provides non-material happiness, reducing the need for material enjoyment. The mind completely lacking in spirituality only knows the world through prices, figures and statistics. A mind saturated with non-material satisfaction does not require so many material objects for sense gratification. Any one who chants the Holy Name will be satisfied with a simple life and a simple life is always easy on finite natural resources like oil. "So, if you chant this Hare Krsna, then you will very easily understand that you are not this body; you are spirit soul, aham brahmasmi: "I am Brahman." Ceto-darpana-marjanam. That is the first installment, you'll understand. For self-realization, there are so many different processes. There are mystic yogis. There are philosophical speculators. There are karmis. There are jnanis. And... But this process, immediately you will realize that you are not this body. You are not matter; you are spirit soul. Ceto-darpana-marjanam. And, as soon as you understand that you are not this body, you are not matter, that you are spirit soul, then immediately you become joyful.”
